A rich and decadent dessert that combines chocolate and peanut butter, perfect for busy days and last-minute gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 30 regular-sized peanut butter cups (unwrapped)
  • 1 box chocolate fudge or devil’s food cake mix (15.25 oz)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Arrange the unwrapped peanut butter cups in a single layer across the bottom of the prepared dish.
  3. Pour the milk evenly over the peanut butter cups.
  4. Sprinkle the dry chocolate cake mix evenly over the milk and peanut butter cups. Do not stir.
  5. If using, sprinkle the chocolate chips over the cake mix.
  6. Pour the melted butter as evenly as possible over the entire surface of the cake mix.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is set and the edges are bubbly.
  8. Let cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or top with whipped cream and chocolate syrup for added richness.
