A delightful twist on traditional cheesecake, these Strawberry Cheesecake Wontons combine creamy cheesecake filling with crispy wontons for a perfect dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese (softened to room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Strawberries (finely diced)
  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 24 Wonton Wrappers
  • 1 Large Egg (beaten for egg wash)
  • 2 cups Neutral Oil (for deep frying or cooking spray for air fryer)

Instructions

  1. Make the filling: In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, diced strawberries, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and well combined.
  2. Assemble the wontons: Lay out a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Place a teaspoon of the filling in the center. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with the beaten egg. Fold the wrapper in half to create a triangle and press the edges to seal. Ensure there are no air pockets.
  3. Cook the wontons: If air frying, spray the basket with cooking spray, arrange the wontons in a single layer, and spray the tops lightly. Cook at 350°F for about 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. For frying, heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry a few wontons at a time for about 2-3 minutes on each side until crispy and golden. Drain on paper towels.

Notes

Serve with powdered sugar, chocolate sauce, or whipped cream. Pair with vanilla ice cream for a delightful dessert experience.
