Delicious and tender Oven Roasted Country Style Pork Ribs with a caramelized BBQ sauce, perfect for gatherings and comfort food.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3.5 lbs country style pork ribs (bone-in or boneless)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Pat the country style ribs dry with paper towels.
  2. Whisk together the brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper in a small bowl.
  3. Season the ribs on all sides with the dry rub mixture, pressing it into the meat to help it adhere.
  4. Arrange the seasoned ribs in a single layer in a large baking dish. Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil. Bake for 2 hours.
  5. Remove the foil from the baking dish. Drain any excess liquid. Brush the ribs generously with BBQ sauce.
  6. Increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C). Return the ribs to the oven, uncovered, and bake for 20-30 minutes until the sauce is caramelized and bubbly.
  7. Remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the ribs overnight with the dry rub. Serve with classic sides like coleslaw or cornbread. Can be grilled instead of baked.
