Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound boneless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch fresh ginger, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. Coat the chicken pieces in cornstarch.
  2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook chicken until crispy.
  3. Remove chicken and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add garlic and ginger; sauté for 30 seconds.
  5. Add chicken broth, soy sauce, sugar, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes to the skillet, stirring to combine.
  6. Return the chicken to the skillet and stir until coated in the sauce.
  7. Cook for a few more minutes until the sauce thickens.

Notes

Make sure to coat the chicken well in cornstarch for that crispy texture. Adjust sugar and red pepper flakes to your taste.
